In 2011 I lost one of my best friends, a mother of 3, to ovarian cancer and in Autumn 2012 I completed the Women v Cancer cycle challenge in her memory. I was staggered at the generosity of my friends and colleagues who helped me to raise almost £5000 for this very worthy cause.

In 2016 I will undertake my next cycling challenge - from Vietnam to Cambodia!

The gruelling cycle ride takes place from 1 - 12 November 2016 and will see myself and the rest of the Women V Cancer cyclists team undertake a stunning 450km ride through two of South East Asia's most fascinating countries. The challenge starts in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City and finishes at the world heritage site of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Along the way we will experience breath taking scenery, ancient temples and the warmth of the local people.

In early 2016, to boost my fundraising I hosted a dazzling black tie ball event and managed to raise a fantastic £3000 of donations.

In addition to the amount noted which I have raised for Women V Cancer to date, £3095, I have also raised £4000 for Claire House in offline donations and a further £1000 for Claire House at a Euro 2016 event on Thursday 16th June 2016.
