Thanks for clicking on my sponsorship page.  In October I'll be running my first (and maybe last) marathon.  I've done 10ks and half marathons and there's been lots of talk about doing the full 26.2 miles, so I've signed up to the Yorkshire one.  Like a total lunatic, I am absolutely loving the training.....but then again I'm only half way into the plan!

I'm excited to fundraise for LGI's Neonatal unit where Neave spent the first 6 weeks of her life last summer.  As many of you'll know; she arrived 8 weeks early, born with gastroschisis and was successfully operated on hours after her birth.  Her/our time on the ward wasn't always fun, we were desperate to have her home, but needed to wait till she'd gained strength and could tolerate feeds.  Throughout her time there she received excellent care and those 6 weeks now are just a small blip in her happy healthy already year long life!

This is my way of saying thanks and giving a little back to the unit that helps poorly babies from across Yorkshire.

And for anyone that hasn't seen Neave recently, she's doing absolutely brilliantly.  She was signed off by the neonatal team last month as they're happy with her weight and development.  We're so thankful our wonderful little girl's doing just great.
