I started a new role at Cancer Focus NI in October 2022 and within my role I have quickly been able to see first-hand the invaluable support and services Cancer Focus NI provides to local people in Northern Ireland on a cancer journey. 

Our amazing services include counselling and family support, a bra fitting service, art therapy, and a patient driving service that transports people to their medical appointments. We also provide cancer prevention services and health checks across NI through schools & work places. Cancer doesn’t just affect the person who has been diagnosed, it affects the whole family. 

I am so proud to work for an organisation that puts people at the centre of their support and so excited to be on this journey as we strive to meet the challenges identified within the NI Cancer Strategy, by delivering our strategic plan, bringing cancer services to all areas of NI. 

When I decided to challenge myself for 2023, I knew there was no other option than to use this opportunity to raise vital funds for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.
