Story
I have recently learnt that cycling is more than covering miles, Strava points or race results-pedalling can actually help save lives. In 2016 and '17 I will be fundraising for the Air Ambulance who receive no public funding and rely on charity donations. As a sportswoman and cyclist I know many people whose lives have been saved by the Air Ambulance, including members of my cycling club and wanted to say thanks in my own way.
This year I will be doing a variety of fundraising initiatives for Air Ambulance, including stretch classes, wattbike classes, turbo challenges and in 2017 will be cycling up Mont Ventoux three times in one day. Mont Ventoux is perhaps the hardest climb of the Tour de France but wasn't on the race in 2015 when I rode the route as part of the One Day Ahead Challenge. Therefore I need to return to France this year and conquer this climb....but once just wouldn't be enough, would it!
I know many of you gave to my fundraising last year and I am perhaps pushing it to ask for you to open your wallets again but it would be great if you could donate something, however small, to hep this amazing, lifesaving service.
Thanks in advance for your donations!
