Bupa Great North Run 2014 · 7 September 2014 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Hello. Yes, I'm doing the Great North Run - again. It always seems like a good idea, until I'm about half-way round the course, and then there's not much I can do about it. But the main reason is to raise money for The Stroke Association. Strokes are cruel, indiscriminate and debilitating, but with the right care and help people can make amazing recoveries.

Anything you can spare, whatever amount, will be hugely appreciated by me and by Stroke families. If you've supported me before - big thanks. And if you want to support me again, even bigger thanks.

Love Helen
