Diary of a Disciple giveaway · 5 February 2019

Scripture Union is a Christian charity, inviting children and young people to explore the difference Jesus can make to the challenges and adventures of life. Through lots activities & initiatives, we provide opportunities for young people to explore the Bible, respond to Jesus and grow in faith.

Story

Joe loves the Scripture Union book 'Diary of a Disciple.' https://content.scriptureunion.org.uk/resource/diary-disciple-lukes-story-paperback  He loves it so much that he wants everyone in his school to have a chance to own their own copy!

Joe asked Scripture Union if we could help him give these away and he also asked his Head Teacher if he could do this!  We both loved the idea!   SU are able to significantly subsidise the cost of the books for this event but we will still need to raise some of the cost of the books.  We are also planning for an SU worker and local church volunteers to work together to run a 'Diary of a Disciple Workshop' in the school to help children get excited about the book and learn how to understand it.

If we can raise £300 that will cover the cost of 75 copies of 'Diary of a Disciple' and make a contribution towards the time it will take for a Scripture Union workers to help deliver the workshop and give out the books.

If we exceed our target we would love to offer this experience to other schools too!
