We fund research and offer support to beat the isolation of macular disease

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be guide running the 2019 Penang bridge international marathon in Malaysia with Helen Davis. Helen is a visually impaired runner and has recently relocated to Malaysia. We met through Bristol VI running club and have ran quite a few races together so far, including 8 half marathons, 2 10k's and even a 24 hour relay. This will be Helens 2nd full marathon, my 11th and our first together. It will be our toughest challenge to date. The Malaysian heat and humidity means the race will be held overnight starting at 1.30am on Sunday 24th November.

We are raising money for the Macular Society which invests in medical research and supports people with Macular disease. Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK with 300 people diagnosed every day.

We will be also getting support from Kinga Zawisza who will also be running the full marathon in support of The Macular society.

Every penny raised will go straight to The Macular society as everything is completely self funded.
