WaterAid is an international non-profit with one goal: to change the world through water. Along with decent toilets and good hygiene, a reliable supply of clean water is essential for health, dignity and a life full of opportunity.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In the UK we have access to unlimited safe and clean water from the tap.  The UN says that a human being needs 50lts of water per day in order to drink, cook and have enough for personal hygiene.  In some parts of Africa people have to get by on just 20 litres of water per day.  To access this water, which is often not safe, they have to walk 6km.

For three consecutive days I am going to walk 6km to fetch 20litres of wafter from a spring, I will purify the water and live on it for 24hrs.
