Story
On the 19/02/2007 our beautiful mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Although we were shocked at the diagnosis, we were given hope that with Chemotherapy starting quite promptly, the prognosis could be bright. However, mum was re-admitted to hospital a few months later. Our optimism began to fade. The cancer had spread to her liver and lungs, and later that week, Mum was moved to Marie Curie, a local hospice, where she was cared for brilliantly, all the staff looked after her every need and made sure she was comfortable and not in any pain.
On the 13/03/2008 our mum lost her incredibly brave battle with cancer.
After mum passed away our amazing grandparents, our mums parents, took us under their wing and did all they could to support and care for us, they became our rock as mum once was.
Sadly, on the 02/03/2014 our grandad was diagnosed with lung cancer and within a week he was admitted to hospital. He gradually deteriorated, and was moved to Marie Curie, the same hospice that mum was moved to only 6 years earlier.
On the 29/03/2014 our amazing grandad lost his battle with cancer.
We want to thank the nurses at Marie Curie, for all their help and support they gave our family through these difficult and emotional times.
The work they do is just amazing and by raising money for Marie Curie, we hope to help as many cancer suffers and their families as possible.
So, on the 07/02/2015 we will be doing a skydive, all money raised will be donated to Marie Curie
