Story
Throughout the last year, our brave friend not only has been dealing with the challenges of lockdown but also battling leukaemia. We would like to walk to Birmingham Children's hospital and back to raise money to say thank you for helping her and many others to beat this awful disease.
Our friend has spent a lot of time on ward 18, the money raised from this walk will help fund toys and entertainment, new comfy furniture, research and training courses for staff, along with ‘above and beyond’ equipment which goes that one (sometimes giant) step further than the equipment from the NHS. For example buying CADD Pumps. These provide Chemotherapy at home for a specific type of patient.
At Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, we believe there’s always more we can do for our sick kids and that’s why we will always strive to do more for our patients and families. It’s our mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use our hospital.Your support empowers us to take innovative approaches to treating some of the sickest children in the UK. Your fundraising enables us to make our hospital feel just like home. Your donations are helping us to find new ways to treat and cure childhood diseases.
