Story
This autumn I am running (jogging/plodding) the Great South Run on 15 October and also stumbling my way round the Tatton Park half marathon on 19 November for Samaritans.
As many of you will know, my cousin David Love sadly died in February 2020. The sadness and confusion that the loss of David has brought to myself and the people I love is unmeasurable.
In January last year I found out about the sudden passing of an old school friend, the kind and generous Sam Richardson.
I'd like to fundraise for Samaritans, who do vital work in providing support for those in emotional distress. Every life they save is worth saving - £5 is enough to pay for a conversation that could potentially save a life.
After I did the Manchester half marathon last year I said I wouldn't do another run like this again but I've been INSPIRED by the delightful Lizi Bain who is running for 100 days and finishing with the Great South Run on October 15. You can donate to her page here - https://www.justgiving.com/page/lizi-bain-runs-and-runs?fbclid=PAAab3TZpVLz1uWlSW7BALKNx02OH9L-fcxnGIdmUeWU2HcFdoONCdQjPWmGU
I'm hoping to raise £300 and also finish the Great South Run in under 2hours and do the half marathon in 2 hours 30.
For David
For Sam.
For every life that is taken too soon.
xx
