Story
If you know me you will already know how totally obsessed with dogs I am.
If you know me you will know who Rooney and Scarlet are. I tell everyone I meet about them!
Rooney was my little pup. My first furr Baby. Me and my brother rehomed Rooney for our 12th birthday. I'm now 27. He passed 4 years ago. When I say Rooney was the best dog in the world, I honestly mean it. He was amazing. We rehomed him from the Dogs Trust Merseyside. He was only a puppy at the time and was in with his litter. He didn't know any different than being with us.
Then in 2012 we rehomed Scarlet. My 2nd furbaby.
Scarlet is a troubled old soul. We don't know her exact age. We don't know much about her past. What I do know is she came over on a ferry from Ireland. She was a stray found on a building site and she recently had had a litter of puppies who all never survived. She's scared of her own shadow half the time. Isnt big on affection. But does secretly love a cuddle. She has a scar from either side of neck like she has been tied up or had it slit. She's nervous of new people. Not fussed on men. And barks like an absolute loonatic.
But I wouldn't change her for the world. We don't know what she's been through in life. All I know is I wanna give her the best one I possibly can.
To think my poor baby would of been in kennels alone not knowing if she was coming or going breaks my heart. Roo didn't know any different but scarlet does.
My love for my own furr babies and the babies I work with everyday really made me want to help in some way. To raise some funds to help the doggos be more comfortable while they are waiting to go to their forever homes would be amazing.
So sorry to bore you all. I wanted to come up with something crazy and fun to raise the funds.....
So on the 25th of November I will be sleeping overnight in the Dogs Trust Merseyside Kennels. With just a sleeping bag and probably a dog themed onesie (of course) I will be there from 4.30pm until 9am the next day.
I would really really appreciate it if you could donate. £1 each would be amazing.
Thank you so much in advance and I will keep you all updated on the journey 😊
