Holly and Tricia's Marathon Challenge!

Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon 2017 · 8 October 2017 ·
So we've finally done it - we started running in 2012, after a few years of 10k, 10 mile and half marathon challenges, we've decided to take on the big one - the Yorkshire Marathon! 26.2 miles. Heck!
As some of you know, in July 2013, our beautiful Mark was diagnosed with malignant melanoma from a mole on his leg. Almost 3 years of surgeries, hospital visits and checkups followed, and devastatingly we lost our brother and son on 15th April 2016.
Throughout this time, Mark never let his diagnosis stop him from doing anything. His determination to carry on regardless and live his life with a smile on his face gave us strength, even on the dark days. This continues to inspire us, as we train towards this epic distance!
We're raising money for York Mind. The charity's main aim is to provide much needed support for people in York experiencing mental ill-health. The money we raise is a big thank you to the staff team, who have supported and encouraged both of us so readily over the last few years. The York Mind family is a very important one for us and we really appreciate every person who has helped us.
Every donation, whatever the amount, will help us reach our goal (that's the only way we'll get ourselves round the course come October!). We really appreciate your support. Thank you so much :-)
