Our sister Lisa, if she had gotten better, was going to devote the rest of her life to fighting for those with chronic illness who didn't have the strength or the resources to get the right answers and ultimately obtain the correct course of treatment for themselves.

We cannot think, then, of a better cause to which we could donate in her name than the work of the Patient Advocate Foundation, which dedicates itself to assisting those needing financial and other assistance so that they can obtain the care they need.
