Between 2009-2011 I have had 2 heart attacks & 3 treatments from James Cook Hospital under the care of Dr Hall & Dr Wright. This is an opportunity to say thank you for the fantastic care I have had. I have set myself a hard challenge to Cycle up the "Beast of Provence" Mont Ventoux.
I have supported myself and with the assistance of my workplace, Engie Fabricom to do the sponsored ride so all monies donated here will be going directly to South Cleveland Heart Fund.
On the morning of the 27th (5am) we cycle to the top of the mighty Mont Ventoux (61km) the same day the Tour de France makes the ascent (Bastille day).
Next morning we start our ride to Girona in Spain via Perpignan the Pyrenees and Roses, a total of 505km.(4 days)
