Support the lifeboats in the North West

Story

The RNLI has been operating at full capacity since the start of lockdown. Our service has been rescuing people throughout the Coronavirus pandemic and our heroic crews commitment to saving lives has not stopped. Unfortunately, our ability to raise funds has been limited.

RNLI Hoylake & West Kirby fundraising branch supports the RNLI and the two lifeboat stations and crews at Hoylake and West Kirby on the Wirral. We rely on donations from the public to keep the 24/7 search and rescue service running. However, we have not been able to fundraise as normal - we have had to cancel many bucket collections and fundraising events including Lifeboat Open Day to keep our volunteers and supporters safe.

The average lifeboat station in the North West costs £136,000 a year to run and we are going to have a significant shortfall in income due to the Coronavirus. We are asking all our friends and communities to donate what they can to keep us running.

All along the North West coast from Silloth to West Kirby, we will always be there to keep you and your loved ones safe. Please help us to fulfil the RNLI's mission to end preventable deaths on our coast and save everyone we can.

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
