Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in the London-Paris bike ride in early September; I have pledged to raise funds for the Royal British Legion.  I have covered the full cost of the ride, so every £ raised in donations will go directly to the Help for Heroes charity.

This year's Pedal to Paris event will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War, paying special tribute at the Arc de Triomphe, scene of French victory celebrations in 1919.

A century on from the First World War, the Armed Forces community can still call on the Royal British Legion for help with every aspect of daily life. Problems continue to affect serving personnel, veterans and their families, whether living with bereavement or disability, finding employment, or coping with financial stress.

I will take part in this famous ride, covering 460 km from London to Paris. The ride culminates in a moving memorial service at the Arc de Triomphe.

The Legion spends £1.6 million every week in support of the Armed Forces community - £83 million every year. Now, more than ever, the Legion needs your support.
