Story

To say thank you for all they have done for me, I am raising money for Leeds Adults Transplant Sports team by entering (and hopefully completing, albeit very slowly) the London Landmarks Half Marathon.

The team is an inspiring group of transplant recipients and their families and we raise awareness of the need for organ donation, encourage transplant recipients to lead active lifestyles and show appreciation for, and remember, our donors and their families.

After my transplant, meeting the team members and their families at the British Transplant Games gave me the confidence to start living my life to the full again. The support and friendship with this group mean the times I have with my them are eternally life affirming and always make me and my family happy.

The money I raise will be used to support the team's attendance at the British Transplant Games, helping to fund things like accommodation, transport, and kit. This will enable us to support more recipients and their families in the way I was and will also help spread the word about life changing the benefits of organ donation.
