HT does Kilimanjaro · 19 September 2016 to 28 September 2016 ·

Team Kili is local business people climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in support of Holy Trinity Hull's amazing transformation for the whole community. Our expedition is from 19 - 29 September 2016

Story

Since retiring from professional rugby I have not set myself a challenge which matches the physical effort needed to be a professional sportsman and its about time I did.

I was inspired by the rugby players who broke the world record for the highest game of rugby league (at altitude), played on Mount Kilimanjaro. I fell in love with Hull when I played here which is why I made my home here. When I heard that Holy Trinity was fundraising for their development project, I wanted to get involved to give something back to the community while ticking something off my bucket list.

And of course, I am always told by everyone who attends This Is Warrior that I stand around doing nothing whilst shouting "go faster!" "keep moving!" and "don't stop!" so I thought it was my turn to pull my finger out.

This is a personal challenge close to my heart so please help and support me as much as possible, every donation is gratefully received and appreciated.
