I am the parent of a deaf child. My son Alexander, who is now 15, contracted meningitis as a baby and this left him profoundly deaf. As a family we have benefited greatly from the support of the Shropshire Deaf Children's Society. I would now like to take this opportunity to raise funds for the charity as a thank you for all of the help we have received.

Between Monday, 25th June and Saturday, 30th June I will be walking the length of Hadrian’s Wall from Wallsend to Bowness on Solway, a distance of 73 miles. I will be completing the walk along with a former work colleague, Rob Hall.
