Story
It's never fun being diagnosed with prostate cancer, but it's even less fun to be told that it's incurable. From the moment of my diagnosis, through chemo and radio-therapy, Macmillan Cancer Support have been unfailingly by my side. So, while I have the energy, I want to do something for them in return.
Starting at the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup, I'm hoping to follow the competition round by round, to see if I can get to Wembley, and eat a few pies on the way. Whoever wins is the team I follow in the next round. I started on August 6th with Hereford Pegasus vs Stourport Swifts... who knows where the challenge might take me!
Why not donate a pie? The pie at Hereford Pegasus (pictured) was three pounds, and very good it was too, as would be three quid. On this scale, four pies are only twelve pounds, whilst thirty pounds is enough for ten whole pies. NB the money goes to Macmillan, not to Pukka or whoevs. They're metaphorical pies.
