Story
Janet and I are Walking the Wight on 10 May 2020, raising money for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice. This time, we're doing it from a course set in the safety of our own garden. We plan to do the whole 26-mile walk in one day, starting bright and early just as we would normally do, and finishing a mere 170 circuits later (it's a large-ish garden) - you can see parts of the well-worn path from our warm-ups in our cover photo.
We are completing 'Walk the Wight My Way' to help make sure that, even during this challenging time, the most vulnerable in our community are cared for when they need it the most.
It is only with our help that Mountbatten can continue to be there for Island people in the last years of life, when the time comes to die and to help those left behind come to terms with their loss. Without our support, Mountbatten cannot afford to deliver the services they do, as well as meet the needs of the increasing number of people who need care and support.
Please help me by making a donation of whatever you can afford. Every penny will make a difference. Mountbatten, and Island people facing death, dying and bereavement, are counting on us!
