We provide vital treatment, care & support to cancer patients and families in Wales

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'll be setting off to the ancient Inca ruins of Peru's Machu Picchu on the 13th of september 2017, in honor of my sister Rowena Kincaid who passed away after her battle with cancer on 2nd September 2016 , and also for my friend Anne who also has a family member who is suffering with this horrendous disease. I am also doing this for any one who works at Velindre and for anyone who has been a patient there, as the work and care they provide are vital to help those battling cancer.

The trek wont be a walk in the park by any means, we'll be trekking at altitude (around 2400m), battling high humidity during the day and cold temperatures during the night, and walking for about 8-10 hours per day over mountainous terrains that are not for tourists.

I've also gotten my sister Mel to come along for the ride too, as i feel that we can both give back to Velindre for their amazing support they provided Row. Their amazing and insanely difficult jobs can be helped by making a donation to help those who suffer with this dreadful disease, and to help fight the battle for the future.

In reading this i hope that you can find it within your heart to help with this challenge and to help those who are in need of the care that Velindre provide by donating, and know that you will be making a difference with your support.

thank you :-)
