I am Chair of the Murrayfield Injured Players Foundation which supports amateur rugby player male and female, who are suffering any financial hardship due to an injury playing rugby. The concept of helping your own, and the difference I have seen it make to so many players over the years has been a humbling experience, and one that Is a massive privelege to be involved with. Fund raising is obviously an important part of our work, and hopefully you will feel that this is a worthwhile cause that you feel is worth supporting. I am cycling a couple of closed road events starting with the Loch Ness Etappe (66miles) on April 22nd followed by the Etappe Caledonia(82miles) on May 21st to raise funds for MIPF which will be tough, but as you can imagine worth every drop of sweat.

About the charity

The Fund, set up in Scottish Rugby's centenary season 1972-73, focuses on providing assistance to injured Scottish rugby players and is financially and administratively independent. Since its inception, it has assisted a number of players with short or longer term injuries, with the help and support they needed.
