Story
🎗️ Walking 60 Miles for Prostate Cancer Research - A Founder's Mission
Did you know that 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime? This statistic isn't just a number to me - it represents fathers, brothers, friends, and countless families affected by this disease.
As the founder of Mendable, a new charity dedicated to men's health and wellbeing, I've made it my mission to create safe spaces where men aged 25-55 can speak openly about their health concerns. Taking on the Walk 60 Miles in November challenge for Prostate Cancer Research (PCR) perfectly aligns with this mission.
Why I'm Walking:
- To raise vital funds for PCR's groundbreaking research
- To honour the courage of men fighting prostate cancer
- To demonstrate Mendable's commitment to men's health
- To break the silence around men's health issues
- To inspire more men to take proactive steps for their wellbeing
My Journey:
Throughout November, I'll be walking 60 miles while building Mendable's community and spreading awareness about prostate cancer. You can follow my journey on social media @WereMendable, where I'll be sharing updates, stories, and the importance of men's health support.
Every Step Counts, Every Donation Matters:
Whether you can donate £5 or £500, your contribution will help fund crucial research that could change the future of prostate cancer treatment. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of men and their families affected by this disease.
Join Our Movement:

Thank you for your support in this challenge. Together, we can create a future where men feel empowered to speak up about their health and where prostate cancer research receives the funding it desperately needs.
