Story
Baby, it's cold outside! (especially when you live there...)
Every year, my sister and I (along with loads of other amazing volunteers) take part in the Mungo's Christmas Collections in train stations - and we raise vitally important funds from the donations of generous commuters! This year, though, that isn't an option - and this year it's more important than ever that people can access help and support to get off the streets and rebuild their lives. Winter is a dangerous time to rough sleep anyway - it's a shocking fact that people freeze to death on our streets every year - and it's more dangerous than ever this year, with the added threat of a global pandemic. Homeless people can't self-isolate, and winter shelters - the only place many people have been able to go for many years - can't open, because they can't enforce social distancing.
I am lucky enough to work for St Mungo's, and I see every day the massive difference that this organisation makes to our clients' lives. But we can't do it without funding!
If you can spare anything, this is a really important cause.
