Hi, I’m Indie and I am having my long hair cut to raise money
for Dorothy House and to donate my hair to The Little Princess Trust in memory of my mum, Tara Chivers.
Being only 12 years old and having to follow school guidelines I cannot have a full head shave and so I will be having a short ‘pixie’ cut.
At the beginning of this year, I said goodbye to my mum after she sadly lost her five year battle with cancer.
The Dorothy House team have been amazing. They gave unconditional palliative care to my mum and have since been there to help and support myself and my family through this awful time.
My mum wasn’t to keen on me having short hair but when I said I could raise money for Dorothy House she came round to the idea.
Celia, from Celia’s Place on Midsomer Norton High Street will be cutting my hair on the 24th August 2019. Bob and Sarah at The Crossways pub, Midsomer Norton will be hosting the event, starting from 2pm with the cut happening at 3.30pm. Bob will be putting on one of his legendary BBQ’s, There will also be a raffle on the day with lots of top prizes to be won.
