Inspired4Life 2014
Inspired4Life 2014 is a project which aims to break a number of Guinness World Records with the help of over a thousand school children and students, and will be anchored by me hitting a Punch Bag Continuously for 52 Hours.
Taking place in North London from Thurs 3rd July – Sat 5th July, the event and has 3 main aims:
• Raising funds to help beat cancer and Inspiring the next generation of fund-raisers
• Educating about the importance of healthy living, keeping active and a balanced diet
• Promoting sport and encouraging participation levels in children – particularly among girls
While I’m attempting the punch bag marathon, several further world record attempts will take place at the same venue, ranging from light-hearted attempts for the younger children such as “The Largest Macarena” or “The Most People Dressed As Superman” to some more challenging sporting records for university students.
Some International Sports Stars and Celebrities have very kindly offered to support the event, offering coaching to the children during “Sports Taster Sessions”, leading the mass participation world record attempts and overseeing an Inter-School Sports-day.

Fighting cancer was also a cause my girlfriend worked tirelessly for until she tragically passed away after being struck by a drunk-driver while walking home one night.
I consider myself lucky to have also been able to call her my best friend and I guess I’m still trying to make her proud and smile that lovely smile as she looks down from above, which together with a further family bereavement, motivated me to put together an ambitious project called paris2london.com which has already almost £50,000.
Furthermore, every penny raised has gone directly to fighting cancer as I’ve maintained a pledge to meet all expenses myself - from flights and accommodation to printing and photocopying.
paris2london
· I started by successfully running over 350 miles in 14 days from Paris to London (the Paris marathon, then from the finish line of Paris Marathon to the start line of the London Marathon, before finishing with the London Marathon)
· This was followed by climbing 2 mountains (with a combined height of over 11,500m) in 2 continents (Asia & Africa) in just 3 weeks
· Looking for my next challenge, Sam, one of my best friends – and as a cancer survivor one of my inspirations – suggested I try to break a series of World Records and most recently I completed the “25 Peak Challenge” (climbing 25 peaks – including England’s biggest mountain – as well as running between them) becoming the first person to finish in under 24 hours with a record breaking time of 22 hours 45 minutes
· I’m currently in training to break the world record for “Most Consecutive Full Contact Martial Arts Bouts” which will consist of 150 bouts – all against black belts – and will take close to 7 hours to complete
Sadly, Sam then suffered a return of her cancer, this time much more aggressively, and she recently lost her brave fight against the disease – which coupled with some other bad news has caused me to set my sights a little higher and plan Inspired4Life.
Thanks again for your support – it’s what keeps me going!
