Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm aiming to raise some money for the Elena Baltacha Foundation by running the Ipswich Half Marathon. Before Elena passed away, in 2014, she set up the Foundation to enable kids to get the opportunity to learn to play tennis, regardless of their background. Both my daughters have benefitted from the activities that the Foundation runs and I've seen hundreds of other kids benefit, in fact the number of kids that the Foundation has reached runs into thousands when you count the school visits they organise. As well as learning to play tennis, the kids learn about friendship, teamwork, respect for others and a whole range of life skills that will stay with them well into their adult lives. It is truly a charity that is looking to the future and deserves all the support it can get.

About the charity

Before her death in May 2014, Elena Baltacha set up her charity with one goal - to give more children, from all backgrounds, the opportunity to learn to play tennis. The Elena Baltacha Foundation is committed to making sure Elena's work continues and that we keep enriching kids' lives through sport.
