My father was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in October last year. Having undergone major surgery to remove the tumour and reconnect his stomach to his oesophagus, he is now confirmed cancer-free and is recovering at home.

Needless to say, the past months have been incredibly challenging for our family. But they have inspired me to do something for the wonderful people who give up their energy and time to support those of us who have been affected by cancer.

Every single person I have spoken to, whether to gain insight from their experiences or to share my own, recommended Macmillan. 

What Macmillan offers is incredible; a supportive network for those whose lives have been affected by cancer. Knowing that we can call, ask questions or just speak to someone if we need to gives us reassurance that we don't have to go through this alone.
