This September I will be taking on my biggest ever cycling challenge. I will be riding the length of Britain from its most southerly point (Land's End in Cornwall) to the most northerly (John O' Groats in the north of Scotland). I will be covering 980 miles in total over 9 gruelling days! Oh and we are camping along the route...

Those of you who know me will know I'm a keen cyclist but this is something I am truly terrified of doing! You might be wondering why I've decided to go...It's a massive personal challenge as well as an opportunity to raise vital funds for charity Right.

Afghanistan has been called "the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.”

Half of the population lives in poverty and the life expectancy at birth is the lowest in the world.

Over 3 million under 5-year-olds are acutely malnourished, with many children unable to be immunized from preventable diseases like measles and polio.

Thousands of families can’t send their children to school, relying on them to work just to afford food. Instead of learning to read and write in the safe confines of a classroom, millions of children brave danger on the streets to earn whatever money they can.

All children deserve a fair chance and Charity Right are offering the children of Afghanistan an opportunity to escape their fate. By offering school meals, parents are able to send their children to school. There they find a place to be happy and healthy as they receive an education that will change their lives and the lives of their community.

Charity Right has launched in 4 schools across the Kabul province in Afghanistan, providing regular meals to over 2,200 students!

By providing regular school meals, Charity Right is offering parents and guardians a huge incentive to send their children to school. As a result, the children are much more likely to stay healthy, receive a life-changing education and have fun with friends.
