Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in Ironman Wales on 18th September 2016, my first Ironman distance event despite having been taking part in triathlons since 1994!  I have completed 4 Half Iron-distance events but never fancied tackling the 'big one' until now...and I am delighted that I will be lining up in Tenby alongside my wife, Ellie, who is also doing Ironman for the first time.  Ironman Wales is described as the toughest Ironman in the world...but at least it is local!

I have a close association with the Wildlife Trust, especially through the volunteering and bird guiding I do on the islands of Skomer & Skokholm.  Every penny I raise will be split equally between these two jewels off the Pembrokeshire Coast, to further their amazing conservation work.  I am aiming to raise £10 for every kilometre I cover on the day (226...).  I go through pain....the islands gain!
