Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

My name is Janie, I am 8 years old, I love having long hair and I have always wanted it to be like Rapunzel's.  I have 2 brothers, Christian who is 17 and Daniel who is 14. Last year we found out that my brother Dan has a brain tumour and that my Gramp has cancer.  Christian told me about his friend who cut her hair to make a wig for children with cancer.  Then I met a girl about my age that had done the same thing, I decided I should do it to help sick children who lose their hair like my Gramp is going to. My mum said we could try and get people to sponsor me to raise some money to help people. I said I wanted to help people like Dan who have brain tumours, so I'm asking you to help me get money for Brain Tumour Research by sponsoring me to have my hair cut on June 2nd so it can be sent off and made into a wig. I know I will be sad to lose my hair (so will my mum), but like I told my mum it's better to help other people than worry what I will look like. I'm very lucky because my hair will carry on growing. Please help me raise as much money as I can for Brain Tumour Research.  Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
