Hey guys!

We're going to be participating in an event called 'Jailbreak' which involves getting as far away from UCL as possible in 36 hours without spending any money! All your proceeds will be donated to breaking barriers, a charity that helps refugees find their feet in the UK. 

We'll be trying to get to Hong Kong (yeah ambitious much) and fundraising along the way of course:))

Please help us reach our £500 target and donate whatever you can! If you're a UK taxpayer, remember to check the Gift Aid box as 25% of your donation will be matched by the government!

Here's a bit about what Breaking Barriers do:

Our employability workshops get refugees ready for the workplace by providing invaluable skills and knowledge, as well as the confidence to enter the labour market. This prepares refugees for our existing work placement/permanent job services.

The courses include employment language skills, CV writing,
understanding the British working system etc. For more advanced individuals, we run mock interviews and assessment centres and presentation training.

Our workshops are also an opportunity to host English
language classes and informal social events, and to invite our business
partners to come in and run training and recruitment sessions and workshops.
