ICS Entrepreneur with Challenges Worldwide is an opportunity to share business skills and knowledge with small and medium enterprises whilst working alongside a local volunteer. Through helping a local company you will be involved in the continued growth and development of their organisation.

Story

On Saturday 27th of September, Olly Box, Xavier Edmonds-Allen, Joe Rodgers and myself will be setting out from Trafalgar square in London on bikes with the aim of cruising down the Champs-Elysees no more than 24 hours later.

When the idea was first mooted, we weren't sure that it was feasible. However, a quick google search of London to Paris in 24 hours comes up with quotes such as 'epic endurance challenge', and 'one of the ultimate endurance challenges' and we took this as a green light. 'It's actually a thing people do all the time - it'll be easy!' was Olly's (slightly paraphrased) reaction. This was followed up by some serious words of advice and caution regarding the physical state we would have to be in to complete the challenge, before we concluded that we could definitely do it.

We are raising money to support Challenges Worldwide, which focuses on supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs across sub-Saharan Africa, generating income and helping to build stable institutions, enabling long-term economic prosperity.

The money donated will enable more people with high levels of education and business experience to travel to Africa and provide consultancy advice to local entrepreneurs and businesses, and will ensure the partnerships that are developed are maintained for many years, growing in sophistication as businesses begin to mature, creating a lasting and positive economic impact.
