Fundraising for National Autistic Society
It was in 2018, that a colleague from my team explained the daily challenges of bringing up a special child with an early stage of autism (stage 1). Listening to a mother's story, I started exploring what support I can provide to colleagues in similar situations.
That is how I finally came across the National Autistic Society and the good work they do, supporting thousands of families across the UK.
My knowledge about autism was limited, I was quick to realise many don't know about Autism, it is a lifelong developmental disability which affects how people communicate and interact with the world. One in 100 people are on the autism spectrum and there are around 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK.
I am happy to share, on 6th Nov 2022, will be running NYC Marathon, for the next four months I will be doing prep for 26.2 mile run, as this will be my first marathon post-COVID recovery. Will create awareness about Autism and the support available, and fundraising for the National Autistic Society.
Also a massive thank you to Barclays, which has agreed to match the donations. I am reaching out to you, please help reach £2500 for the National Autistic Society.
Thank you in advance!
