Perth Cathedral, St Ninian’s, is in urgent need of repair if we are not to lose it – starting with the roof. Consecrated in 1850, it's a beautiful building - used for concerts and many other events by the whole community in Perth as well as being a place of prayer, worship and welcome.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am a member of Perth Cathedral, St Ninian’s, and last year it was discovered that there was a major problem with the roof. In order to make the building wind proof and water tight £210,000 has to be raised by June 2016 to secure necessary funding. So far the congregation have pulled together and have managed to raise over £100,000. So what was I prepared to do to help? The answer was Jennifer’s Journey, and with my friend Ann, I plan to cycle the full length of Britain.
I am hoping to raise as much as possible, through this funding page, and would greatly appreciate your kind donations.
Ann and I are both retired - Ann combined a career in nursing with family life and I remained single having a career in education. We are ordinary females with a firm Christian faith but once we set our minds to something, we are determined to see it through. This has to be the biggest challenge that we have ever faced - a gruelling 1000 miles on a bike!!
With your help, I would love to raise a lot of money, so that there is a Cathedral in Perth for future generations.
Many thanks
Jennifer
