Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Story

Hi! Thank you so much for visiting my page - please support me!

This is my 10th London Marathon and this time I am running on behalf of a fantastic charity - Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.  Year 11 at Aylesbury High School have chosen HDfDP as one of their two 'Good Causes' and, as their Head of Year, I intend to help the pupils raise as much as possible to support the great work HDfDP do.

Once again I will be in fancy dress and this year I can be seen running the marathon as Muttley from Wacky Races! So, dressed as a cartoon dog, this is going to be the nearest I get to a medal in the 2012 Olympic year! Will Dick Dastardly, The Ant Hill Mob or Penelope Pitstop be running the 26.2 miles as well?
