This year has been a tough one for many people, but I don't know anyone who has had a harder year than my best friend Jake.

along with a string of unfortunate events, sadly Jake's grandad passed during the pandemic so we hatched a plan to cycle coast to coast to raise money for charity in his name.

We have chosen to raise money for two separate charities.

I'm donating to Blythe house hospice for their fantastic care of a close family friend, Lisa caldwell, who sadly passed recently. 

Jake will be donating to macmillan cancer support for their amazing support during his grandads final days.

We'll be starting in Ravenglass, Cumbria and after covering over 150 miles in 3 days we'll finish in Newcastle.

We've picked the worst time of year to do it, with the worst current circumstances and virtually no training so it's obviously going to go well.
