Story
This year, Kat, Pete and Jo have taken part in a series of events to try and raise as much money as possible for The Sequal Trust. With your help, we've managed to help change somebody's life...
The Sequal Trust are an amazing charity that are bridging the communication gap for disabled people. By providing assistive technology to people who need it most, they aim to increase the quality of life for those who are non-verbal, have incoherent speech, or who have learning and communication difficulties. Take a look at https://www.thesequaltrust.org.uk/current-appeals to see some of the stories of the people we want to help!
Earlier this year, we completed the Birmingham 10k and climbed Mount Snowdon - we also tackled Cadair Idris in Wales and walked the Birmingham to Worcester Canal (every little helps right!?)
For our final challenge, we embarked on Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk. The mostly unsignposted long-distance footpath saw us walk the full width of Northern England! The 192(ish!) mile walk started at St. Bees in Cumbria, crossed the Lake District, The Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors and finished at Robin Hoods Bay. Our feet are now a bit sore and we definitely don't want to wear backpacks for a while but we're so proud of how much money we've been able to raise for this incredible charity! We took just over half a million steps each and can't quite believe we made it....!!
If you are able to donate to us, 100% of the money will be going directly to The Sequal Trust and every penny helps. All three of us really do appreciate your support! Please spread the word and hopefully we can raise awareness at the same time as raising a life changing amount of money. Our feet and shoulders thank you the most...!
