Story

If you're visiting this page you probably know that I love spending time outdoors and especially love walking. Sometimes I like to take a ridiculously long walk so that my feet hurt and I can't walk for a couple of days.

This got me to sign up for the 100km Yorkshire Challenge in July: as the name suggests, I'll hopefully be walking 100km in one go which should take me about 24h or so - maybe less if I get competitive! A few days before the event, I'll post the link on here where you can track me on the day.

I've done a "practice" walk in June where I completed this distance over two days in the Lake District and I managed to do that. So I'm hopeful I'll be able to do this again 💪

Since moving to Scotland last year I started training with the local mountain rescue team in Arrochar. This got me thinking that I might as well turn my desire for self-flagellation into something positive and raise some money for the important service the team provides for locals and visitors to the area alike.

If you'd like to know more about the team, please visit https://www.arrocharmrt.org.uk/ for more info.

Thanks a lot in advance for your support 🤗
