James' WFH Calendar 2021

James Thorneley is raising money for Mental Health UK

WFH Calendar 2021 · 1 December 2020

Mental Health UK is here for anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We are made up of four organisations based in each of the four nations of the UK, working together to improve mental health.

Story

"What mental health needs is more sunlight, more cantor, and unashamed conversation." - Glenn Close

Seems a good time to go back to where this all began on April's Fools Day. I dressed as Scooby Doo as a one-off, posted a photo and it snowballed from there.

Each week I dressed up and posted pics. It was small bit of fun given what else was happening in the world and how Covid-19 was impacting us all. However, the feedback I received about how these photos brightened people's weeks compelled me to continue to don fancy dress costumes. It also made me think even more about what everyone is going through.

According to Mental Health UK, one in four people have experienced a mental health problem. Over recent years there has been increasing awareness and understanding of mental health issues, but more needs to be done which is why I'm raising money for Mental Health UK.

Please consider donating however small, every little helps. If you would like a WFH Calendar 2021, that will be £10 with it all going to Mental Health UK. Once you've donated please email me with your postal address.
