We provide mental health support to improve the lives of those who need us

Story

A group of us from Edgbaston based Chartered Accountants JW Hinks LLP have set ourselves the challenge of completing the Classic Tough Mudder course at Cholmondeley Castle on Saturday 4th September. This is the first time for all participants. The course itself consists of up to 25 physically and mentally challenging obstacles across 10 miles of slippery mud!

We first decided to embark on this challenge prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic has had such an impact on everyone’s lives, whether it be through lack of social interaction with family and friends, change of routine, pressures of juggling schooling children alongside work, financial pressures and sadly losing loved ones. All of these challenges can have an impact on our mental health and this is why we have chosen to support Birmingham Mind.

Birmingham Mind is the largest independent mental health charity providing services in and beyond the city of Birmingham. They provide person centred advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

We believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone! Please help us support this amazing charity. Thank you!
