Berlin Marathon 2023 · 24 September 2023 ·

We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

I’m teaming up with Alzheimer’s Research UK to run the 2023 Berlin Marathon.

The work of Alzheimer’s Research UK, working to make breakthroughs in the prevention and treatment of dementia, is a cause I feel strongly about. Dementia has had a significant impact on our family, with three of my grandparents being diagnosed with it in various forms. By running this marathon, I hope to raise funds to contribute to the fight against it.

It’s estimated that almost a million people in the UK are currently living with dementia, and it is projected that 1 in 2 of us will see our lives directly impacted by dementia. Dementia research is more important than ever and a cause which we can all get behind.

Running a marathon will be a huge challenge and any support you can offer will be very gratefully received. All funds raised will go directly to Alzheimer’s Research UK to fund their research and help make progress against dementia.
