Jacob (age 9) approached us to ask if he could do a sponsored bike ride to raise some money for MNDA. He set himself the challenge of riding 200km in a month to try and raise £200. He is inspired by one of his rugby heroes Rob Burrow and he wanted to show his support ❤️.

Challenge done! 🥳 200km cycled in a month.

It started on Valentines Day and finished on Mother’s Day. We are so unbelievably proud of Jacob for coming up with this challenge and absolutely smashing it. He set out to raise £200 and as it stands today he has raised £3,240 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (still time to donate 😉). 

It’s been a real family affair and we’ve all cycled with him. We’ve had wind, rain, hail and lots of mud. Highlights for Jacob included a video message from the Leeds Rhinos captain and being in the local newspaper.

Jacob is a huge fan of watching and playing rugby and this challenge all stems from his rugby hero Rob Burrow being diagnosed with the horrendous disease. Jacob wanted to show his support and came up with this challenge.

So a massive thank you to all that have donated and followed his challenge. Thanks for all the lovely messages of support. It really kept him going. 

Now time to celebrate Jacob’s 10th birthday tomorrow! 💙
