Jade and Chris (a.k.a. Rocky/Pork Chop) will be taking part in the Blackpool Air Show 10K (that is 6 miles!!) in aid of Friends for Leisure.

 Friends for Leisure (FFL) is a charity organisation that promotes friendship and leisure opportunities to disabled children and young people, aged between 5 - 21, across Cheshire East. We organise youth groups in Crewe, Congleton and Macclesfield, Crewe Juniors (a junior youth group), drama sessions, ten-pin bowling sessions and activities during the school holidays. Jade got involved with the charity in 2012 by volunteering at the Congleton and Crewe youth groups. During this time, Jade's sister became a volunteer and they started a 2-to-1 friendship with a FFL young person. We enjoyed going for meals at local restaurants, grabbing a hot chocolate at costa and watching films together. In 2014, Jade became a member of staff as the Activity Coordinator at FFL.

Jade has decided to challenge herself and Rocky has decided to take on the challenge as well in order to raise vital funds to support FFL. Do you know how much it costs to run FFL for one month? It costs over £15,000. FFL relies greatly on the generosity of supporters who take part in fundraising activities. Fundraising is vital to enable FFL to continue providing the level of service and activities that so many young people enjoy.
