Trek Madagascar for WaterAid : 05/11/2017 - 16/11/2017

Over half of the population of Madagascar do not have access to safe water and over 21 million don't have access to a decent toilet. Over 2,100 children die every year from diarrhoea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. WaterAid is commited to transforming the lifes in 38 of the world's poorest countries to provide them with improved water, sanitation and hygiene.

WaterAid do some amazing work which I wasn’t aware of until I started working at Thames Water. I particularly feel very strongly about how they help and support women in the communities to ensure they have a voice and are safe whilst they go about their daily routines. They transform people’s lives by giving them the very things that we take for granted on a daily basis.

I feel extremely priviledged to be able to help transform and improve the lives of adults, children and babies in communities across Madagascar. And that's where you come in!

I've never attempted anything like this before so there will be some tough times ahead to get my fitness levels up! To help me reach my £4,500 target, I will be completing various activities and events so please do donate! It's a worthy cause and I will be working/training extremely hard!
