Story

In 2017, when my grandma became too poorly to stay at home, she went to East lancashire hospice, where she received round the clock care for just under a month, not only did my grandma receive the care she needed but the family also got support too. We could go no matter what time or day to see her.

On Christmas day my grandad and grandma even got to have a christmas dinner together, later on we took a buffet in as we would have at home and celebrated it all together as a family(this wouldn't of been anywhere near possible in a hospital). The hospice staff are amazing, they made a very upsetting time that little bit easier with there extra support through out it all, including after my grandma had passed away. One of the nurses even said she had never seen a family like it, from 10/ 11 in the morning till 6/7 at night she had people visiting her.

I told my grandma i would fundraise for the hospice and I am keeping my word! This is my 3rd fundraiser. The furthest I have ever ran is 7miles(during my fundraiser oct 2020), so doing a half marathon is a BIG step, I need to find a training plan and get my backside in gear, Any donations are greatly appreciated.😊

My grandma and grandad mean't the world to me 💕 They are both very much missed. ❤
