Following on from the success of the Rock Solid 5k challenge last year, Addaction Cornwall are taking on another, bigger Obstacle Course Race (OCR) to raise funds for the local service.

Team Leaders Sara Frost and Jaime Salter (aka The Muddy Muckers) have signed up to complete The Reaper on the 25^th March, a 10 kilometre event! They will face challenging cross country terrain, 40 obstacles and of course, plenty of mud!

Jaime and Sara both agreed “Almost immediately after completing the Rock Solid last year we knew we wanted to have another go so we have continued to train for a bigger challenge this year with activities including cycling, trail running and gym based strength training.”

Finishing the course will be no mean feat but Jaime and Sara are confident they will rise to the challenge! “Completing an OCR of this distance is all about mutual inspiration, motivation and teamwork. Of course we can do it!”

Team Addaction Cornwall also hope to promote a wider message to colleagues and service users. “We always enjoy doing these events. Getting involved in healthy activities is not only good for us but brilliant fun so don’t just watch us, get out there and have a go for yourselves!”
