Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 4 June myself and several other (un)willing volunteers will be attempting to complete the Welsh 3000ers challenge. This involves climbing all the mountains in Wales over 3000 feet in one go. There are 14 peaks involved, some 30 miles of walking and approximately 3500m of ascent! we hope to do the walk in about 17 hours.

I am doing this challenge to raise money for the Leeds Hospital neo-natal unit, a very good cause close to my heart. As some of you may know my friends Julie and Ian Slater had twins in October 2006 born at just over 24 weeks. Sadly Jack died at just 3 days old despite the best efforts of the team in Leeds. His sister Isobel stayed in hospital for 5 months and had numerous operations but happily for everyone she is now 3 and a half years old and thriving at nursery school. As you can see from the photo she is happy and healthy and in large part this is down to the hard work of the team at Leeds General Infirmary.

I hope you can support my attempt on this challenge and any donations will be gratefully received.

Thanks

James Holloway
